Most recently, he served as Vice President of Technical Sales for Magma Design Automation, after a three-year tenure as Vice President of Engineering.
While at Magma, he built a fully integrated design environment for a worldwide R and D team of over 60 engineers.
Prior to Magma, Hutt was in charge of the Advanced Technology Group at Synopsys, where he managed the Synopsys research organisation.
Before Synopsys, Hutt was the Program Director and Senior Project Manager for VLSI Design systems at IBM.
Hutt graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Union College in New York in 1975.
"Having worked both in physical design and the DFM area, I knew the customer's desire to merge the two technologies", said Ennis.
"Pyxis has the architecture and the building blocks in place to deliver the next generation router that can address yield and manufacturability issues during the physical design implementation".
Ennis, Pyxis' new Vice President of Sales, is an EDA industry veteran with a unique perspective on what the market needs for DFM-aware routing systems.
Ennis comes to Pyxis from a position as Senior Director of Business Development at Clear Shape Technologies.
He has managed sales teams at Cadence Design Systems and held Vice President of Sales titles at Avant.
Corp, Anchor Semiconductor, and Circuit Semantics.
Ennis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering (summa cum laude) from University of Trenton State.
PT Patel, Pyxis founder and CTO, added: "Manufacturing and yield issues are becoming design-dependent, and we are fortunate to add two world-class executives to our management team with backgrounds and experience in both the design and the manufacturing side of the industry".
