Q-Star Test and DEI announce a strategic cooperation - serving the Chinese market with solutions targeting product quality improvement and test cost and time-to-volume reduction, based on the application of Q-Star's unique supply current (IDD) test and measurement solutions combined with DEI's test program development services.

Q-Star Test, supplier of advanced high speed and high accurate IDD test solutions, and Data Equipment International (DEI) ., a test service provider for semiconductor industry in China, announce a strategic partnership.

Q-Star Test offers IDDX monitor solutions, supporting true IDDQ, delta IDDQ, advanced IDDQ, IDDT and analog IDD test strategies applicable to digital, analog, and mixed signal circuits.

Q-Star Test's measurement hardware is ATE independent and outperforms other available ATE related IDD test hardware by at least a factor of 100 (with respect to measurement speed) and offers in addition a 10x improvement in test data quality (with respect to measurement resolution and repeatability).

The hardware solutions are complemented with application and test strategy related consulting and training services.

DEI offers comprehensive integrated circuit test services to semiconductor customers in China and covers a wide range of solutions to test digital logic, analog circuts, mixed-signal devices and system-on-a-chip (SoC) semiconductors.

DEI's engineering team has strong application experience on ATE platforms such as A5XX, J971, J750, Catalyst, Flex, 93K etc.

It also has its own demo room equipped with J971 and J750 to facilitate not only the engineering development but also CP/FT production test for small quantity of products, The partnership between Q-Star Test and DEI will allow customers to benefit from the combination of products and services offered.

"By combining DEI's software and test engineering solutions with Q-Star Test's measurement hardware, an easy route towards the implementation and application of supply current based test strategies in production test environments is created", stated Hans Zhang, Operation Director of DEI.

The partnership will also allow Q-Star Test and DEI to reinforce their market position and to provide the semiconductor market with cost effective and powerful soft- and hardware solutions to reduce test time and costs.

The partnership is further supported by an Agent agreement, Whereby DEI acts as Q-Star Test exclusive agent for the Chinese (Mainland China, Hong-Kong and Taiwan) region.
