"We also expect our database of cores to grow steadily because of the QuickDr programme".
The QuickDr programme is made up of engineering consultants who have a demonstrated expertise not only in their design field, but also in QuickLogic's products and device architecture.
When customers contact QuickLogic for help with a specific technology (such as PCI) or with a turnkey design, support staff can refer them to the appropriate consultant, usually in the same geographic area.
The consultant and the customer can then negotiate a contract.
QuickDr consultants are evaluated and ranked annually by QuickLogic, and that information will be available to customers.
In addition, QuickDr consultants have a direct relationship with QuickLogic's regional sales representatives and field application engineers to enhance their effectiveness and promote customer satisfaction.
"This is a significant expansion of our ability to enable the full spectrum of design support for our customers", said Ewald.
"Customers will now have a growing list of engineering experts they can work with to shorten their design cycles and produce the highest-value products".
To ensure that high-quality consultants join the programme, QuickLogic is offering a number of benefits in addition to referrals.
These include special access to in-house engineering support, reduced prices on initial tool purchase, and no-cost license renewals, loaner hardware and marketing support.
In addition, QuickDr programme members will be able to include appropriate IP in the QuickCore programme.
