Sexton comes to QuickLogic from National Semiconductor, where he was a director of distribution.
In that role he was responsible for developing a global distribution strategy.
Previously at National, Sexton also served as Bay Area sales manager, Cisco global account manger and as an OEM sales engineer calling on major accounts such as IBM, AT and T and Lexmark.
Sexton's career in technology began with a BSEE degree from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio.
After graduation he worked as a design engineer for Digital Communications Associates and was part of the team that developed the first 10Base-T Ethernet adapter cards.
He worked for four years as a field applications engineer before moving to National Semiconductor.
"QuickLogic's focus on delivering system solutions rather than just silicon is clearly the right approach as the industry moves forward", said Sexton.
"I look forward to leading our sales staff and distribution partners in making the benefits of ESPs clear to our customers".
