"Silicon Valley has long recognised the quality of the engineering talent in India", said Tom Hart, QuickLogic chairman, president and CEO.
"When we decided to expand our software staff, India was the first place we considered".
Hart emphasised the importance of software development to the company's success and noted that Indian software talent will be deployed to create state-of-the-art products.
"QuickLogic is committed to involving our new team members in every stage of our projects - from concept to final product", he said.
Hart was joined at the news conference by Timothy Saxe, corporate vice president for engineering, Mandalgiri Chandrasekhar, director of software engineering and Shekhar Mahajan, who will lead the Bangalore team.
"Designers using our semiconductor devices rely on our software as a vital component to developing new and innovative products", said Saxe.
"QuickLogic India creates a global software team that will create new tools as well as advances in the QuickWorks software and our new WebESP program, which enables designers to configure devices online".
