In his new role, Mills is responsible for all company financial and accounting functions, investor relations, and information technology.
Immediately before joining QuickLogic, Mills was Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at AltoWeb, which helps companies design and deploy custom e-business applications.
He also served in a number of progressively responsible financial posts at Waferscale Integration, a vendor of EPROM and Flash memory based programmable system chips.
While there, he served as Vice President of Finance and CFO prior to the company's acquisition by STMicroelectronics.
Mills began his career at Philips Semiconductor as a financial analyst.
Mills holds Bachelor of Science and MBA degrees from Santa Clara University.
Mills replaces Arthur O Whipple, who has served as QuickLogic's CFO since 1998.
Whipple will become Vice President and General Manager of WebESP.
In his new position, Whipple will lead a challenging new business effort to develop QuickLogic's new WebESP product delivery model and its new QuickASSP products.
