The latest QuickWorks development software from QuickLogic has new features that significantly reduce design cycle times and improve performance for all of the company's ESP and FPGA families - including full support for the QuickMIPS family of devices QuickWorks 9.3 software offers new and improved algorithms for place and route, which reduce run time and boost performance

The latest software version also provides batch mode operations allowing engineers to easily explore alternative design implementations.

Version 9.3 also offers an enhanced third-party tools interface, which allows engineers to explore alternative design implementations and create seamless design flows with software from Synplicity and Exemplar.

All these new benefits combine to boost average performance by 15% compared with earlier versions of QuickWorks.

QuickWorks version 9.3 also includes enhanced support for designers working with the QuickMIPS device and its complete System Design Kit (SDK).

Based on the MIPS Technologies MIPS32 4Kc microprocessor core, the QuickMIPS solution delivers the guaranteed performance of ASSPs, an ASIC design flow and FPGA flexibility on a single piece of silicon.

QuickLogic's system SDK for the QuickMIPS platform includes a QuickMIPS device, and a board support package with a real-time operating system (RTOS), timing model and drivers.

QuickWorks includes schematic entry and design compilation support.

Optional VHDL and Verilog synthesis support from Synplicity, and VHDL or Verilog functional and timing simulation support is available as well.

QuickWorks also supports a wide range of industry standard synthesis tools and simulators to ensure compatibility with existing design environments.

QuickWorks is available now for Windows 98, 2000, Me, XP and NT platforms for $495.

A Unix version is also available for $995.

A free 30-day evaluation copy can be downloaded from the QuickLogic website.
