ArcticLink reduces design time and risk for mobile product developers by embedding hard-wired host controllers with a programmable fabric - all in a single low-power device.
In addition to enabling design support for the Eclipse II family, QuickWorks 9.4 enhances design performance and quality with a number of new features.
Improvements in placement, buffering and technology mapping boost performance by up to 11% compared with earlier versions of the software.
A new priority router allows designers to assign routing priorities to a selected set of timing critical nets, so the highest-priority nets are addressed first with minimal wiring delay.
Windows-based placement enables designers to control placement of logic modules on the device, and supports overlapping windows and manages parent-child module relationships.
Finally, for ESP designers, delay information is reported for the ASSP module as well as the programmable portion of the device for more accurate timing reports.
"The enhancements in QuickWorks V9.4 provide users with a range of control and flexibility", said Tim Saxe, VP of Engineering for QuickLogic.
"For stringent design requirements, users can apply their expert knowledge to get the most performance out of the tools; at the same time, the tool enhancements also work well for those using a more pushbutton approach".
The basic QuickWorks 9.4 tool is available for no charge for Windows (98, 2000, Me, XP and NT) and Unix platforms.
The software can be downloaded from the QuickLogic website.
