Frequency and phase analyser claims the lowest noise level and fastest measurement time available.

The A7-MX frequency and phase analyser from Quartzlock has the lowest noise level and fastest measurement time available Close-in phase noise can be calculated accurately and displayed

Phase or frequency data can be displayed with true Allan variance plotted in real time alongside the frequency or phase data.

Measurement time interval can be from 1ms to 2000s in one, two, five and ten steps so aging for up to 2 years or more is possible.

At 1ms, close-in phase noise can be calculated out to 500Hz.

Data are stored in the A7-MX, so a PC or Windows crash does not loose the data.

Single shot resolution is better than 50fs.

The noise floor is better than 5 x 10e-14 at 1s.

A large digital display shows the frequency or phase difference with up to 17 digit resolution - the noise floor at 1000s.

The A7-MX has fully specified input generated spurious levels, uncertainties and no input drift.

An analogue meter enables oscillator adjustment to parts in 10e-13 within milliseconds for frequency adjustment.

MTIE, TDEV, modified AVAR, time, TIErms, Hadamard and other variances may be calculated from the phase data and plotted using the optional Stable 32 software.

Applications will be found in national labs, defence, telecommunications, oscillator R and D or production test, and calibration labs/QC.
