Panel PC offers reliability in harsh environments

Quanmax has introduced the KPC-1790 panel PC - a 17in high-performance and rugged solution with resistive five-wire touch screen.

It supports Intel 45nm Core 2 Duo processor with up to 2GB DDR3 system memory.

Powered by the Mobile Intel GM45 Express chipset integrated with Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 4500MHD, the KPC-1790 is said to deliver good graphic performance and support various display interfaces.

The KPC-1790 has a dust/waterproof IP65 front bezel design, which enables it to offer reliability and usability in harsh environments.

The KPC-1790 is able to run sophisticated automation control and analytical software to increase operational safety and enhance manufacturing efficiency.

The KPC-1790 offers all communication capabilities required for HMI with one Gigabit Ethernet, two USB 2.0, one RS232, one RS232/422/485 and digital I/O.

To meet the needs for high-end graphic capability, the system supports DVI-I and HDMI video output.

Moreover, an optional WLAN module and antenna for network connectivity completes the operator interface terminals design for real-time data and remote access.

The rugged KPC-1790 is said to be ideal for use in many factory automation environments.

The KPC-1590, a 15in touch-screen version with all the features and performance of the KPC-1790, is also available.

Both models have flexible mounting options, including VESA and panel mount.
