The 5000 Test Receiver offers digital radio broadcasters the first product capable of monitoring the transmission of broadcast websites inside Multimedia Object Transfer carousels.

The product offers a software-based, highly flexible and extensible platform for monitoring of data and audio broadcasts to provide visibility of the quality of service broadcasters provide to their customers.

The 5000 automatically monitors the services in a DAB ensemble, alerting broadcasters to any problems, such as a high bit error rate.

Alerts can also be associated with TTL alarms and SNMP traps.

This means that a remote telemetry system can be configured, where the triggering of particular alert conditions results in the 5000 closing a relay contact, transmitting an SNMP trap, or both.

This significantly increases the service provider's ability to deal quickly with any transmission problems.

Another important feature of RadioScape's 5000 Test Receiver is the facility to control the receiver remotely, through either an ISDN or permanent network connection, including an IP based intranet.

This allows broadcasters to position the receiver as required and to monitor broadcasts using PCs at a number of locations across the country.

RadioScape's solution has also been specially designed in order that upgrading can be conducted from the central site, further reducing costs and increasing the effectiveness of the deployment.
