RadioScape has appointed semiconductor industry veteran John Hall as chief executive officer and director.

RadioScape has appointed semiconductor industry veteran John Hall as chief executive officer and director As CEO, Hall will focus on developing new relationships with the world's top semiconductor companies and wireless equipment producers that are looking to address the massive complexity challenges in the creation of next generation communications systems such as multimode wireless handsets and basestations

Hall most recently served as European vice president of MIPS Technologies, where he developed European operations from a start-up in the UK into a successful pan-European business with established teams in France, Germany and Israel.

Hall cemented many strategic customer relationships with major blue chip electronics companies across Europe.

MIPS is now a leading supplier of semiconductor IP to many European semiconductor companies and OEMs in the communications, digital consumer and smart card segments.

Current CEO and cofounder Peter Florence has been appointed to vice president of corporate business development.

In this new role, Florence will continue his work maintaining relationships with existing customers and business partners but also focus on strategic new business developments for the company.

Prior to MIPS, Hall held a number of senior roles at Cadence Design Systems.

Hall earned a record as a major revenue generator and in his role as vice president and general manager of Cadence's Deep Submicron Business Unit, developed key relationships with many major global electronics companies.

Previously, he held positions at Valid Logic Corp (which merged with Cadence), Daisy Systems, Intel and Texas Instruments.
