RadioScape has appointed William Lam as the head of its Asia Pacific operations.

RadioScape has appointed William Lam as the head of its Asia Pacific operations He will be based in the company's new offices in Singapore, where he will be responsible for the company's broadcast products sales in Asia Pacific

He will also be establishing a new office in Hong Kong to service RadioScape's customers not only in China but also throughout the region as a whole.

"William has been in the Asia Pacific market for many years and has been a leading figure promoting the digital broadcasting industry", said John Hall, RadioScape's CEO.

"His experience will be invaluable in providing local support and expertise for our growing number of customers in this strategically important region".

Asia Pacific is an increasingly significant area for RadioScape as many of its DAB module and OEM receiver manufacturers are based in the region.

RadioScape's unique software-defined approach is used in its DAB module range to enable functions and updates to be added quickly and easily.

This enables RadioScape to ensure that its customers have the latest innovative features and can differentiate their products easily through software.

As a result, RadioScape's modules are accounting for a rapidly increasing share of the DAB radio market.

In addition, many Asian countries are currently rolling out or planning DAB and DMB infrastructures.

RadioScape's Professional Broadcast Suite is frequently the solution of choice as its unique, software-based design ensures that the latest enhancements and specifications are easily and quickly implemented to ensure state of the art broadcasting.

William Lam comes to RadioScape from 3A DigiComm Technology, where he was the General Manager and responsible for digital broadcasting technology in Asia Pacific.

Previously he worked for Harris Corporation as the Director of Business Development, Hirschmann Asia Pacific as General Sales Manager, Tektronix as Market Development Manager and Rohde and Schwarz UK as Sales Manager.
