The IMP Series is the latest addition to the range of surface-mount coaxial connectors from Radiall.
They are composed of a wide range of shells, inserts, accessories and contacts.
EPXA and EPXB inserts can accommodate electrical, radio frequency and fibre-optic contacts.
These components can be supplied separately and assembled by the user.
This modularity offers maximum versatility and allows for an infinite combination of connectors with a small number of components.
The objective of the agreement between Radiall and Tyco is to guarantee dual sourcing to customers while proliferating this concept of modular connectors through the exchange of technical information ensuring intermateability and interchangeability for both existing products and new product extensions.
Pierre Gattaz, Radiall's President, expresses his satisfaction: "We are very pleased with this new partnership because it will extend the EPXA and EPXB connectors great success in the aerospace industry.
Tyco, with their international presence and numerous markets, brings an additional perspective to the modular connectors and opens the doors to new markets".
