George Shenoda has joined Radisys as Chief Technical Officer.

George Shenoda has joined Radisys as Chief Technical Officer In this position, Shenoda will orchestrate the company's underlying technology strategy to support leading solutions for Radisys' diverse customers

Shenoda will report directly to Scott Grout, Radisys President and CEO.

"As a recognised expert in a variety of diverse technology and systems solutions, George is a key addition to the Radisys staff.

George's expertise will enhance our connection to the technical and architectural needs of our customers and provide the technical leadership to create higher-value solutions that enable our customers to bring superior products to market in less time".

With over 25 years of technology and systems leadership, Shenoda is credited with pioneering numerous technologies, most notably ATM and its standardisation.

His leadership and technology expertise led to several industry firsts, ranging from development of high-speed modems, image processing and electronic publishing systems to fibre optics multiplexing and service access systems.

While at Oresis, he spearheaded development of the most advanced and complex voice and data switching system available today.

Shenoda is a proactive and influential member of several industry standards committees and forums.

A prolific author, speaker and patent holder, he was inducted into the Broadband Solutions Hall of Fame in 2001.

For the past six years, Shenoda was founder and Chief Technical Officer of Oresis Communications, a leading provider of converged voice and data packet switching systems in Beaverton, Oregon.

Prior to joining Oresis, Shenoda was with ADC Kentrox for 5 years, where he was the Chief Technical Officer.

Shenoda has also previously held positions at Ameritech Services, Pilkington Communication Systems and Xerox Corporation.

Shenoda holds a BSEE in communications from Cairo University in Cairo Egypt and an MSEE in communications from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.

In addition, Shenoda has completed postgraduate work in communication theory and digital signal processing at SMU in Dallas, Texas and in digital image processing and pattern recognition at USC in Los Angeles, California.
