Radisys has released five new Intel processor-based motherboards: four using dual Xeon processors and the other based on the Pentium 4.

Radisys has released five new Intel processor-based motherboards: four using dual Xeon processors and the other based on the Pentium 4 The new boards expand the popular Radisys Endura family of long-life motherboards, giving customers a broader range of embedded motherboards to choose from, including solutions for use in enterprise, networking, medical imaging, data storage, test and measurement, industrial control and gaming applications

The dual Xeon motherboards (VB7505, BR7501, CW7501 and WV7501) and Pentium 4 board (SV845PE) were designed to support applications at higher performance levels, while keeping the total cost of ownership down.

Addition of the five boards means OEMs can choose the exact Endura motherboard to fit their solution need, from entry-level platforms to very high performance compute and I/O intensive applications.

Radisys helps OEMs minimise their total cost of ownership by offering extended life, engineering support and change management services to meet customers' solution requirements.

"Expanding the Endura line means we can provide OEMs with an entire spectrum of products from low-end platforms to high performance solutions that are required for developing complex applications", said Fred Yentz, Vice President for Radisys.

"Broadening our product line with the new dual Xeon and Pentium 4 boards means customers developing complex applications now have an ideal platform that will allow them to develop better products, faster".

The VB7505 supports two Intel Xeon processors with 512Kbyte cache and 533MHz system bus.

It is based on the Intel E7505 chipset and supports up to 8Gbyte ECC DDR200/266 memory.

Key features include a 10/100 and a Gigabit Ethernet port, a dual Serial ATA controller with RAID, an integrated Rage XL video controller with 8Mbyte video memory, three independent PCIbuses (two PCI-X 64bit/100MHz slots, one PCI 64bit/66MHz slot and two 32bit/33MHz slots), server hardware monitoring and an 8X AGP slot.

The VB7505 is aimed at high-end graphics applications such as medical imaging.

The BR7501 supports two Intel Xeon processors with 512Kbyte cache and 533MHz system bus.

It is based on the Intel E7501 chipset and supports up to 8Gbyte ECC DDR200/266 memory.

Key features include a 10/100 and a Gigabit Ethernet port, an Ultra320 SCSI port, an integrated Rage XL video controller with 8Mbyte video memory, three independent Pcibuses (four PCI-X 64bit/100MHz slots and two 32bit/33MHz slots) and IPMI 1.5 server management.

The BR7501 is targeted at high-end Enterprise and telecom applications.

The CW7501 supports two Intel Xeon processors with 512Kbyte cache and 533MHz system bus.

It is based on the Intel E7501 chipset and supports up to 8Gbyte ECC DDR200/266 memory.

Key features include a 10/100 and a Gigabit Ethernet port, an integrated Rage XL video controller with 8Mbyte video memory, three independent PCIbuses (one PCI-X 64bit/133MHz slot, two PCI-X 64bit/100MHz slots and two 32bit/33MHz slots) and server hardware monitoring.

The CW7501 is targeted at high-end enterprise and telecomms applications.

The WV7501 is a rack-optimised motherboard designed for use in 1 and 2U chassis.

It supports two Intel Xeon processors with 512Kbyte cache and 533MHz system bus.

It is based on the Intel E7501 chipset and supports up to 12Gbyte ECC DDR200/266 memory.

Key features include dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, dual Ultra320 SCSI ports, an integrated Rage XL video controller with 8Mbyte video memory, three independent PCIbuses (six 64bit/66MHz slots) and IPMI 1 .5 server management.

The WV7501 is aimed at high-end enterprise and telecomms applications.

The SV845PE is an ATX motherboard based on the Intel 845PE chipset, which supports a 533MHz system bus for greater bandwidth with high performance Pentium 4 processors.

The SV845PE has six PCI slots making it ideal for complex embedded enterprise or industrial control applications, which typically require a high PCI slot count.

The 4X AGP slot is also necessary for medical imaging, gaming and test and measurement applications, which incorporate the latest high-end graphics technology.

The board supports up to 2Gbyte DDR333 SDRAM memory enabling use of the latest double datarate memory technology.

Precision cooling technology allows fan speeds to adjust real time according to system temperatures.

This reduces unnecessary noise and conserves energy.

The SV845PE features Hi-Speed USB 2.0 technology offering 40 times the performance of USB 1.1.

Other features include Rapid BIOS Boot, which accelerates the power on self test for fast system access and instantly available PC (suspend-to-RAM), which enables advanced power saving features.

Boxed product samples are available from Radisys immediately.

Volume OEM quantities for system integration by Radisys and qualifying partners can also be ordered today.

The MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) for the dual Xeon boards configured with dual 2.4GHz Xeon processors and 1Gbyte ECC DDR SDRAM starts at $2126.

The MSRP for the Pentium 4 board configured with a 2.4GHz Pentium 4 processor and 512Mbyte DDR SDRAM is $600.

Discounts are available for OEM quantities.
