Gateways meet latest Sigtran standards
Radisys Savvi SS7 gateways are now fully conformant to the new Sigtran standards for M2UA and M3UA.
The EPC-2327 can be used in small backplane-based systems or as a stand-alone controller card without a backplane.
In either case the half-size PCI card offers OEMs a choice of entry-level or mid-range performance, since it can be configured with Intel Pentium III and Intel Celeron processors.
Additionally, the EPC-2327 provides a long-life solution, which benefits OEMs with a lower overall cost of ownership.

Pentium 4 motherboard to live long and prosper
The Endura BG845G Pentium 4 microATX motherboard is the latest in the popular Radisys Endura family of long-life motherboards.
"We continue to strengthen our Endura product line with innovative products that help OEMs develop better products faster and more economically", said Richard Smith, Vice President, Commercial Segment and Quality, at Radisys.
"For OEMs who are developing smaller, smarter products like medical imaging, industrial automation and control systems, the EPC-2327 offers a proven, flexible, long life solution in a small form factor".
The EPC-2327 features an integrated video solution, which offers a choice of interfaces for driving either a standard analogue VGA display or a digital LVDS panel.
Radisys has also equipped the EPC-2327 with temperature monitoring which enables the processor fan speed to be managed automatically under software control.
This can extend the operational life of the fans and minimises dust build-up by adjusting the fan speed according to system load and environmental conditions.
Full revision control and change management ensures that customers are provided with excellent sustaining support over the life of the product.
The EPC-2327 is a small form factor, half-size PCI card (7.3 x 4.8in) which is available with a 1.26GHz Intel Pentium III processor or a 1.2GHz Intel Celeron processor.
The card is based on an Intel 815E chipset with an integrated VGA controller and support for up to 512Mbyte SDRAM.
Video output is available either via a standard analogue VGA interface or via a 24bit single-channel LVDS interface for use with digital flat panels.
The EPC-2327 also features an Intel 10/100 Ethernet port with wake on LAN support, two USB 1.1 ports, a PS/2 keyboard/mouse port, two IDE ports, an SMbus header, system monitoring, fan speed control and a watchdog timer.
An optional I/O card provides an additional two USB 1.1 ports, two serial ports and a mini-speaker.
The Radisys EPC-2327 is available for sampling now and will be available in production quantities in Sept 2004.
The MSRP (manufacturer's suggested retail price) for unit quantities is $377 with a 1.2GHz Celeron and $582 with a 1.26GHz Pentium III.
Volume discounts are available for OEM quantities.
