Chen takes charge of Chinese developments

XaioDong (David) Chen has joined Radisys as Business Development Manager for China.

XaioDong (David) Chen has joined Radisys as Business Development Manager for China.

With over a decade of experience in China, Chen will be responsible for building customer relations and managing new and ongoing customer opportunities.

Chen's appointment expands on Radisys' commitment to China including establishing a design centre in Shanghai in 2004, and significant expansion of manufacturing operations in Shenzhen.

"China is a rapidly growing global economy and Radisys is making a significant commitment to serving our customers in this region".

"David brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to our organisation", said Christian Lepiane, Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Radisys.

"David's expert knowledge combined with his keen ability to bring new products into this market, successfully, will help propel our customer solutions in China".

Prior to joining Radisys, Chen was Country Sales Manger of CPE data products for Siemens China.

In this role he successfully secured contracts with China Telecom and China NetCom Group.

He also expanded Siemens' customer base in the region through deals with Beijing Comm Co, Quanzhou Telecom and Guangdong Telecom.

Before taking the position with Siemens, Chen was Deputy General Manger for Shanghai Lucent Technologies Transmission Equipment Co (formerly AT and T China Communications Equipment Co).

Chen holds a BE degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
