Radisys has enhanced the Microware OS-9 for PowerPC solution with expanded support for the MVME2100, MVME2403/4, MVME5100, MVME5500 and MVME6100 series of VME SBCs.

OEMs upgrading to Microware OS-9 for PowerPC solution can take advantage of the latest version of the OS-9 embedded RTOS, drivers, board support packages, development tools and middleware.
Enhancements include a new dual IPv6/IPv4 network stack, Posix threads, and Borland's CodeWright 7.5 for the Hawk IDE.
Using Radisys' Microware OS-9, there is no need to validate the development tools with the operating system software.
Instead, developers can spend their precious time designing intellectual property and features that differentiate their products.
The Radisys Microware OS-9 for PowerPC product features the Microware Hawk integrated development environment, which is designed to increase software development and system integration efficiency.
The OS-9 Configuration Wizard simplifies configuration and building of system images.
The product also features the OS-9 embedded RTOS, which is a secure, threaded process model architecture that is fully re-entrant, position independent and protects against system corruption.
The Radisys Microware OS-9 for PowerPC contains a pre-integrated driver based communications framework called SoftStax that enables individual protocols and networks to be easily snapped in and out.
The OS-9 also features MAUI embedded multimedia support, customisable exception handling framework and support for power sensitive devices.

Radisys also offers free, 60-day fully functional OS-9 evaluation packages.
