New from Radiatron is a range of competitively priced silicon rubber keypads that meet diverse application requirements through a wide choice of customisation options Tactile response, various keystroke travel distances and a choice of actuation forces mean that the keypads are suitable for everything from portable electronic equipment to heavy-duty industrial controls

There are various print options to provide an aesthetic match to surrounding systems and a selection of surface finishes can be provided.

The keypads can be printed or laser etched with optional coatings to increase durability and protect the keys.

Radiatron can also supply a simulated plastic keytop finish using a hard, clear epoxy resin.

This gives the appearance of individual keys, but without the high tooling costs normally associated with custom keyboards.

Life expectancy for the keypads is in excess of 2 million operations.

In addition to providing these customised keypads within 6-8 weeks, Radiatron offers a complete integration and assembly service for related electronics, backplanes, enclosures, cooling and power systems.
