The four models of the PP series soft touch ABS enclosures not only offer a low-cost off-the-shelf solution with superior appearance and grip, but in common with many of the other 100 enclosures from Acal Radiatron, all PP models have been designed to provide the versatility of inexpensive customisation.
Custom machining options, and insert areas enable simple tooling to be used to differentiate the finished handset, even in small to medium volumes.
Full design support is available, including options for custom colour-ways and special surface coatings in larger volumes.
Stock colour-ways of grey with black and grey with light grey are available in both 94 x 63 x 25 and 110 x 69 x 25mm sizes, suiting 83 x 50 and 98 x 58mm PCBs, respectively.
Each enclosure includes battery compartment, battery contacts and battery compartment door as standard, and fully dimensioned drawings with recommended PCB outlines are readily available.
To speed prototype product development, Acal Radiatron not only offers full CAD support, customised tooling or special machining as required, but is also able to supply complete PCB-ready subassemblies, including switches, keypads, indicators and connectors.
While the insert approach is ideal for small to medium quantities, volume requirements can also be met economically.
Samples and technical support are available for the PP soft touch series, whether for rapid development of prototypes or for the detailed evaluation of special requirements such as RFI/EMC screening, custom coatings, special markings or complete subassemblies delivered with keyboard/keypad already fitted.
