Acal Radiatron has a wide range of white LED subassemblies from Dialight, in standard and custom styles.

Acal Radiatron has a wide range of white LED subassemblies from Dialight, in standard and custom styles.

The fully packaged modules are designed to bring the low power and high reliability of LED lighting to a wider range of applications with minimum risk.

The standard parts illustrate the ability to combine thermal and optical design to provide beam shaping from flood to spot, as well as to offer strip, round and rectangular formats.

Full technical support is also available to develop custom solutions.

Mounting options include bayonet, flush and surface mounting, with welded or potted design providing a waterproof and vibration-resistant light that has 50kh life, and will operate from -40 to +55C, making them suitable for low maintenance, external or even cold-store applications as well as automotive and architectural use.

Standard parts range from 38 lux at 0.5m to 1100 lux and beyond, and yet provide cool-to-the-touch light that generates no electrical or audible noise from its power source, making them suitable for use near sensitive instrumentation or in quiet environments.

As well as plug-in filament replacements in BA15s, BA9s, E10, T5 and T10 types, the standard range includes 2.5, 4 and 7in round lamps, 2.5 x 1in bulkhead lamps and 18in long strip lights for 12 and 24V supplies.

The lack of UV output, and availability of different colour temperatures, provides accurate display illumination that will not fade colours, and the shatterproof and waterproof lenses make the assemblies ideal for rugged applications.

Units are already deployed in vehicle, marine and lift cabin lighting, marker lights, reading lights and displays.

As well as guiding designers in selecting standard assemblies, Acal Radiatron specialists are able to assist in the specification and integration of customised versions to suit specific application needs, providing the critical device selection and thermal design input to ensure field reliability of the complete light fitting.
