Manufactured by Bulgin, the popular IP68 environmentally sealed Buccaneer range covers four series and is designed to simplify design and installation while assuring easy and reliable field connection.

Each series offers a versatile selection of power and signal options allowing designers, OEMs, EEMs and panel builders to select the most appropriate connector or combination for any given application.

A wide choice of robust alternatives includes power and signal options from two to 25 poles, BNC versions and easy-access screw or solder terminations.

Typical applications include harsh and demanding environments, indoor or outdoor, where protection against the ingress of dust and moisture is essential - such as industrial equipment, marine, plant, machinery and temporary/emergency power supplies and generators.

Many of the connectors can be easily mated/unmated with gloved hands.

At the heavier capability end of the range, the 58mm diameter 900 Series offers power contact rating of 32A at 600V AC/DC continuous.

The series offers two-, three-, four-, five- and seven-pole options with a cable diameter capability up to 22mm.

Connectors in the 38mm diameter Standard Series offers power options up to 10A continuous at 250VAC/DC.

It offers two-, three-, four-, six-, seven-, nine-, 12- and 25-pole options with a cable diameter capability up to 9mm.

The series also offers 50 and 75ohm BNC versions.

The more compact 26mm diameter Mini Series also offers options up to 10A continuous at 250V AC/DC.

It offers two-, three-, four-, six- and eight-pole options with a cable diameter capability up to 9mm.

The series also offers 50 and 75ohm BNC versions.

Finally, the 19mm diameter Micro Series offers lighter and even more compact options for applications where the smallest sizes are necessary.

The series offers: two- and three-pole types at 8A/250V; four-, six- and eight-pole types at 5A/125V; and 10 and 12-pole devices at 1A/50V ratings - with maximum cable diameters up to 7mm.

In addition, the Buccaneer is available as the Data Buccaneer in USB, Firewire and RJ45 variants for datacommunications applications.

Data Buccaneer offers all of the robust features of the original series, including IP68 sealing, and allows the use of common networking technology in harsh environments.

Approvals covered by the Buccaneer connectors include UL, CSA and VDE.

Each range offers flex-cable, in-line flex-cable and panel-mounting options.
