Ramtron gains ISO9001 certification

BSI has granted ISO9001:2000 registration to both Ramtron International Corp and its subsidiary Enhanced Memory Systems.

BSI has granted ISO9001:2000 registration to both Ramtron International Corp and its subsidiary Enhanced Memory Systems.

The ISO 9000:2000 family of standards, released in December 2000 as the successor to ISO9000:1994, is an internationally recognised quality management system standard.

ISO9001:2000 is a process-based standard that enables organisations to directly link business objectives with business effectiveness.

To obtain certification, companies must implement a QMS that accounts for a range of company activities.

Specifically, certification to ISO9001:2000 covers the design, testing and sales of products offered by both Ramtron International Corp and its subsidiary, Enhanced Memory Systems.

Certification demonstrates to customers, through an independent third-party, that the company operates a QMS in accordance with the standard.

"Certification provides our customers with the confidence that Ramtron's quality systems meet the strict international ISO9001:2000 certification standards", said Domokos Hadnagy, PhD, vice president of Quality and Reliability Assurance.
