Platform checks out mobile IP signalling
Racal Instruments Wireless Solutions is demonstrating its mobile IP signalling conformance test capability for the first time at this week's CDMA Americas Congress.
Racal Instruments Wireless Solutions is demonstrating its mobile IP signalling conformance test capability for the first time at this week's CDMA Americas Congress.
With an ever increasing number of carriers launching "Internet everywhere" type services as well as accessing other data services when on the move, the need to ensure that mobile devices conform to the correct mobile IP protocol signalling standard is of paramount importance.
RIWS is now able to offer a complete mobile IP protocol conformance test solution as a cost effective upgrade option to its existing 6204 cdma2000 Air Interface Monitor and Emulator (AIME) test platform.
The test system is entirely standalone and capable of emulating home and foreign agents as well as authentication authorization accounting (AAA) functions.
Encompassing 1X and 1X-EVDO standards, the RIWS mobile IP solution includes all conformance test cases specified by IS918.
With its integrated mobile IP, point to point protocol (PPP) and radio link protocol (RLP) logging, the RIWS test solution also provides the user with a powerful diagnostic capability.
With the RIWS mobile IP conformance test solution, carriers, mobile manufacturers and test laboratories will be able to test mobile devices to meet with the latest Cellular Telecommunications and Internet Association (CTIA) and CDMA Certification Forum (CCF) certification plans.
