Power over Ethernet put to the test
The RT-PoE2 is a high-density low-cost unit for testing Ethernet switches and other devices that provide power over Ethernet per the IEEE802.3af standard.
Reach Technology introduces the RT-PoE2, a high-density low-cost unit for testing Ethernet switches and other devices that provide power over Ethernet per the IEEE802.3af standard.
The unit contains a full 24 individually programmable test ports in only 1U rack mount space far surpassing the density of existing solutions.
With a cost of under $150 per port, the RT-PoE2 also dramatically lowers production test cost.
Each port supports full powered device emulation including programmable classification and variable power load up to and including an overload condition.
Each port is rated for Gigabit Ethernet connectivity through a separate reference port connection for datapath validation.
Other test capabilities include cable short emulation, valid/invalid signature, and both AC and DC disconnect.
All ports can sink full power simultaneously to emulate a full load on the unit under test.
