Radio Waves has received a substantial order from Aperto Networks for antenna solutions to be installed in its PacketWave systems.

Radio Waves has received a substantial order from Aperto Networks for antenna solutions to be installed in its PacketWave systems.

Aperto Networks is an industry-leading provider of next generation point-to-multipoint fixed broadband wireless access (F-BWA) systems.

The orders include integrated antennas for Aperto Networks' 5.8GHz subscriber units, as well as basestation antennas for Aperto Networks' 3.5 and 5.8GHz systems.

These orders will fulfil Aperto's forecasted antenna needs for the next 12 months.

"We are very pleased that Aperto Networks, a leader in the broadband wireless industry, has chosen Radio Waves as its antenna supplier for these systems", said John Lydon, VP/General Manager of Radio Waves.

"Radio Waves looks forward to a long and prosperous relationship with Aperto Networks".

"The selection of an antenna solution that matched our value proposition was key", stated Dean Chang, Director of Product Management for Aperto Networks.

"It was challenging to find a partner who offered the ability to supply across all of our sub-11GHz frequency bands, to meet critical specifications such as side lobe suppression without trading off antenna gain.

Radio Waves met our expectations, and has demonstrated ability to deliver high quality product in volume".
