RDP Electronics has announced details of the MTS Temposonics III fieldbus family of magnetostrictive position sensors.
The main objective of offering a convenient and simple means of integrating with industry-standard networks has been achieved by providing CANbus, DeviceNet, SSI and Profibus-DP protocols.
These sensors allow systems designers to measure displacement from 50mm to 7.7m at high speed with excellent resolution and absolute positioning with accuracies of +/- 0.01%.

MTS Temposonics III sensors have widespread applications in process plants, special machines, and can also be used within hydraulic cylinders rated up to 350bar.
