According to RDP Electronics, if restricted time schedules are a concern, the novel manufacturing technique used for its Sensotec FP2000 range of pressure transducers will provide a solution.

With a design based on a series of modular component parts, delivery of these pressure transducers is typically only two weeks from receipt of order.

There are over 20,000 customer-specifiable transducer combinations of FP2000 including 39 pressure ranges from vacuum to 10,000lb/in2.

Basic components include a range of pressure transducer type, to which are added a choice of interface, connectors, pressure ports and accessories.

The designer just choses a transducer version - gauge, vacuum, absolute, differential, barometric or pressure - and specifies an accuracy, type of output signal, pressure range, pressure port and interface to meet an exact requirement.

RDP's sales and marketing manager Fred Thorneycroft said, "This is designed for the large number of customers who need product quickly, only to find that off-the-shelf standard products don't have the right connector, pressure fitting or electrical output.

Sensotec's well-known build quality, combined with a flexible manufacturing approach means we can offer tailor-made pressure transducers quickly for virtually any application".
