Taking a leaf from the Friends Reunited website, Reed Exhibitions is introducing a novel concept to this year's Nepcon show entitled "Meet at the bar".

The simple initiative allows anyone preregistering for the event to search the lists of visitors for people they know and to contact them to rendezvous during the show.

Run using the data supplied to the Nepcon website when visitors fill in the forms to preregister, "Meet at the bar" enables visitors to contact friends and colleagues with whom they may have lost contact in a rapidly and constantly changing industry.

In addition, anyone pre-registering on the website will be entered into a draw to win a digital camera.

The prize draw will take place after the show in October.

"Nepcon has traditionally been as much about meeting colleagues and networking as selling machines and equipment", comments Justin Tadman, Exhibition Director.

"Meet at the bar provides visitors with a simply and effective means to do just that.

There has been an increasing trend towards registering prior to the show as more and more people realise the benefits of receiving their free badge and showplanner in advance, and being able to walk straight in through the fast-track entrances without queuing".
