Nepcon Brighton will be smaller and more focused than the main show, with capped, shell-scheme-only stand sizes.
As the first of the new, 'roaming' regional shows, Nepcon Brighton will be focused on providing an easy-to-attend, inexpensive and 'no frills' forum for the UK electronics manufacturing industry.
The changes in the format of the show, which include the main Nepcon event running at the Birmingham NEC only once every two years and a regional show taking place in a different town in the 'off-year', have been made in response to drastically changing market forces.

Latest Verilog standard released
IEEE 1364-2001, the Verilog hardware description language (HDL) standard, also known as Verilog-2001, was approved by the IEEE as a revised standard in March of this year.
"Although, due to market conditions, visitors and exhibitors no longer feel the need for a large annual event, we have identified a definite requirement for some form of show environment each year at which to meet", explains Justin Tadman, Exhibition Director.
"Nepcon is evolving into a show with a fresh and contemporary outlook that more accurately meets these requirements".
Reed views Brighton as the ideal location for the first of the 'new breed' of Nepcon shows for a number of reasons.
"Chiefly, with its laid-back yet lively atmosphere, Brighton is a great town for people to meet in and to network and do business", comments Tadman.
"There are already signs that the market is starting to pick up and, by the time of Nepcon Brighton next June, everyone should be in a position to enjoy an exciting and beneficial exhibition".
Reed had originally planned to run two smaller, regional events in 2003, one in the north of the country and one in the south.
However, following continued and detailed exhibitor and visitor research and months of consultations between Reed and leading figures throughout the electronics manufacturing industry, it has consolidated to a single show - Nepcon Brighton.
"Since the format of the shows was launched, the industry has changed radically and for good", says Tadman.
"It would not be realistic to try and run two regional shows in 2003 when the market simply does not want or need them.
We want to provide the industry with a format that works for everyone involved and, while we do not want to change any of the things that are good about Nepcon, we do want to ensure that it continues to be a success for all concerned".
