Nepcon visitors are once again offered the opportunity to get together for a beer or a coffee with old friends and colleagues at this year's show via the "Meet at the bar" initiative Making a welcome return to Nepcon 2004, the hugely popular feature is run using preregistration data supplied to the Nepcon website, and allows those preregistering to search the lists of visitors for people they know and to contact them to rendezvous during the show

"Nepcon is increasingly as much about meeting colleagues and networking as selling machines and equipment", states Justin Tadman, Group Exhibition Director.

"'Meet at the bar' uses the same concept as Friends Reunited to provide a simple and effective means to do just that, and has proved extremely successful since it was introduced two years ago.

This is down to the fact that the modern electronics industry is changing constantly and rapidly, and that Nepcon is evolving with it".

Preregistration has taken off over the last few years as more and more people have realised the benefits of receiving their free badge and showplanner, complete with full exhibitor list and floorplan, in advance, and being able to walk straight in through the fast-track entrances without queuing.

With the trend increasing, "Meet at the bar" opens up the possibility of re-establishing contact with evermore friends and colleagues.

"Networking and communication are vital in the current environment, and this makes 'Meet at the bar' effective not just on a personal level, but also on a business level", explains Tadman.

To access "Meet at the bar", simply preregister on the Nepcon website.
