Over 150 companies have already signed up to Nepcon 2004, and the organisers expect the final number of stands to number around 200, with many more organisations represented via stand-sharing arrangements.
"A number of companies new to the show and new to the industry have signed up to exhibit this year due to growth in the market and due to Nepcon's new, highly focused format", says Justin Tadman, Group Exhibition Director.
"This has increased the diversity of disciplines and technologies that visitors will find at the Brighton Metropole still further, and demonstrates the inherent strength of the electronics industry in the UK".
The recent trend towards outsourcing has led to the launch of several new and subsidiary contract manufacturers and subcontractors, some of which have chosen Nepcon 2004 for their exhibition premiere.
"The fact that such companies see Nepcon as a pivotal part of their launch strategy is evidence of how Nepcon has evolved over the last few years", states Tadman.
"In addition to the major players that you would expect to see at the show, it now caters for a new breed of exhibitor and has become a far more varied and all-encompassing event.
Whatever you need, you'll find it at Nepcon".
The current exhibitor list includes the likes of: Accelonix, Apex Manufacturing, BTU, Concoat, Contax, DEK, Electrolube, Europlacer, Fujitsu Microelectronics, Mydata, National Instruments, Omron, Pace Europe, Seho, Siemens Manufacturing Services, Tyco and Universal Instruments.
