IPC Designers Council adds conference to
Nepcon
At Nepcon Brighton 2005 the IPC Designers Council will present a technical conference alongside the exhibition and conference programme at the Brighton Metropole on 11th and 12th May.

Latest Verilog standard released
IEEE 1364-2001, the Verilog hardware description language (HDL) standard, also known as Verilog-2001, was approved by the IEEE as a revised standard in March of this year.
The IPC Designers Council provides standards, training and networking to board designers as well as engineering and manufacturing professionals active throughout the electronics manufacturing supply chain.
Hence there is a valuable synergy between the two events that each can leverage to maximise the appeal of each event to its audiences.
The IPC Designers Council aims to provide designers with valuable pointers for designing commercial success into new products, from the outset.
The 2004 programme dealt with issues including obsolescence management, EMC design and advanced PCB constructions including embedded passives.
The presenters included highly regarded figures from industry and academia, as well as IPC Designers Council members, talking about the latest techniques, best design practice, high performance engineering and materials legislation including RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances).
Dieter Bergman, IPC Director of Technology Transfer states: "The IPC Designers Council is pleased to provide information to designers at the same venue as the Nepcon activity in the United Kingdom".
"There are many activities that designers can share on a global basis which enhances the entire design community interchange".

This year's programme will be announced shortly by the IPC Designers Council, which will also manage visitor registrations for the technical conference.
Delegates will be able to move easily between the Nepcon events and the Designers Council event.
Further, the presentations will be arranged to allow delegates time to visit the exhibition.
