The TopCon range of AC/DC power supplies are available as standard rack-mount units with power ratings of 10, 16, 20 and 32kW and with finely graduated DC output voltages up to 1kV.

The TopCon range of AC/DC power supplies are available as standard rack-mount units with power ratings of 10, 16, 20 and 32kW and with finely graduated DC output voltages up to 1kV With digital control for master/slave operation, up to eight units can be connected in series or parallel

Voltage, current and power regulation are available, and also internal resistance simulation.

The firmware of the TopCon family has now been enhanced with the addition of the TopCon TFE programmable function generator.

This powerful tool allows users to program, save and recall complex test sequences.

Basic functions such as sine, triangle and rectangle are preprogrammed, and users can create further waveforms with linear interpolation between up to 1000 points.

Amplitude, frequency, offset and symmetry can all be varied, and even negative amplitude values can be programmed when the system is used in conjunction with the TopCon ACLF AC low frequency switching bridge or electronic loads.

A further useful feature is envelope modulation which allows, for example, exponential damping of the amplitude with a wide variety of time constants.

Sequences can be run continuously or for a determined number of times with programmable waiting time between the sequences (burst function).

The function generator can be used as a set value source for voltage, current and power control.

The high 12bit resolution of and base interval of 50us allow maximum accuracy for laboratory applications.

User-defined function sequences can be saved in nonvolatile memory and may be recalled at any time.

Exporting, importing and even offline data processing is possible using a text editor.

For maximum flexibility, the TopCon function generator comes with its own TopControl software package.

This multifunction tool allows TopCon programmable DC supplies to satisfy the requirements of even complex structures like demagnetising systems, test equipment, drive and cycle programs and environmental simulation.

TopControl features a novel "scope" function which allows almost any TopCon related electrical value to be selected and displayed as an oscillogram.

The scope function eases the analysis of process-relevant signals.

Scope is particularly useful for the optimisation of transient response times and for the determination of the ideal PID-controller parameter setting for reactive loads.

The scope function uses existing sensors inside TopCon so that neither an external oscilloscope nor other external measuring equipment is necessary.
