A new website aims to make registration for pan-European compliance with the WEEE Directive an easier process for the producer community.
Repic, the not-for-profit compliance scheme, has launched a new website designed to make registration for pan-European compliance with the WEEE Directive an easier process for the producer community Through the site, companies can now access each compliance scheme in 25 EU member states, plus Norway and Switzerland, that belong to the WEEE Forum, a voluntary association of WEEE take-back schemes in Europe

WEEE workshops target local authority employees
Workshops will discuss the WEEE regulations in the context of the relationships between the producer compliance schemes and councils who operate designated collection facilities.
The first-ever online central access point to compliance schemes across Europe, the facility will enable hassle-free Pan European registration for companies required by national government legislation to register in each country in which they operate.
If companies believe that they have a WEEE obligation, then access to register on the system is free.
Another feature new to the Repic home page is a live WEEE news feed to keep members and visitors to the site updated on the latest WEEE issues from around the world.
Commenting on the new website, Repic's Chief Executive Dr Phil Morton said: "We are delighted to offer these additional facilities through Repic's new website".
"Until now, registration with compliance schemes across Europe has been a time consuming process for producers".
"By registering with Repic, it is now possible from our link page to pick your country of choice and be automatically connected to the appropriate WEEE compliance scheme".
"After each registration, users can then simply return to Repic's link page and repeat the process with subsequent countries".
"This should save companies a lot of time and frustration and provides them with a pan-European solution for their compliance needs".
