Repic hosts free workshops for councils
Repic is running another series of workshops to provide councils with an update on the current WEEE legislation and a forum to feedback experiences and explore opportunities going forward.
The first part of the seminar will be an update on the WEEE regulations including the very latest WEEE guidance and the code of practice.
The second part will be an interactive workshop designed to address any key topics relevant to local authorities.
Wayne Copley, Director of Procurement for Repic will be addressing the workshops which will be held on: 28th February 2007 in London; 1st March in Glasgow; 7th March in Manchester; 8th March in Cardiff; with a further event in Belfast on a date yet to be confirmed.
Copley said: "The WEEE Directive is due to be in full operational effect from July 2007, therefore this will require new working relationships between producer compliance schemes and councils who operate DCFs for WEEE".
"The workshop sessions have been planned to outline how the regulations will affect everyone involved and seek to explore how best to make these relationships work for all stakeholders".
Attendance is reserved exclusively for local authority employees and is free subject to registration.
