GDC 50-100's plug-and-play design allows up to 12 rectifiers to be configured in parallel, or as an n+1 configuration.
This gives a total amperage of 1.2kA at 24V DC, with the option of linking up to five systems in parallel, to give a total of 6kA at 48V DC.
When used in combination with other GDC 50-100s, the system uses digital current sharing to equalise individual rectifier usage.

Internet-based remote DC system controller
Advance-Galatrek has developed a new PowerPak DC rectifier system controller, capable of remote management when partnered by the company's latest range of DC standby power systems.
This innovative technology reduces wear and tear on individual components in the power supply system.
The GDC 50-100 also features a remote system interface that allows connection directly to a PC or to the Advance-Galatrek GDC 2012 and GDC 2012NET system controllers.
These highly advanced controllers provide a whole series of user benefits, when operated in conjunction with the GDC 50-100.
In particular, the GDC 2012NET allows remote management and control of the DC power supply over the Internet, or other equivalent network.
Using SNMP, the GDC 2012NET controller can interface directly with the GDC 50-100 DC rectifier to enable remote management of both manned and unmanned sites, providing a time-saving and cost-effective way of managing and controlling the complete power supply system from a distance.
This facility is particularly attractive to telecoms and mobile network operators that would otherwise need to undertake physical management of sites that are often located in remote areas.
The PowerPak GDC 50-100 rectifier uses active power factor correction to provide more accurate control over output current, helping to ensure the most reliable operation for vital equipment in mission critical applications.
Soft switching technology also helps improve equipment longevity by reducing power supply variations.
Additionally GDC 50-100 features active filters to protect both unit and load from local spikes and electrical noise.
Each GDC 50-100 features a front panel DC circuit breaker, together with an LCD and LED status indicators, to provide voltage, current and temperature measurements.
These facilities, together with the comprehensive battery management capabilities included within the GDC 2012 controller, provide a unique combination of innovative technology, modular expansion, ease of maintenance and sophisticated remote management and control.
