Advance Galatrek's latest 19in rack-mounted microprocessor-controlled LineUPS-R 2200-5000VA series of digital line-interactive UPSs offers compact protection for a variety of applications.

Line-interactive circuitry is featured across the range, providing a versatile and cost-effective alternative to the more costly online UPS solutions.

Because the LineUPS-R 2200 to 5000VA series operates as a line interactive UPS, it automatically switches to battery mode when the input voltage falls outside acceptable parameters.

The range also boasts an integral wide input automatic voltage stabiliser that smoothes out mains voltage problems - including sags, surges and brownouts - each of which can cause disastrous failures in sensitive computing, comms and PoS hardware.

And, because LineUPS-R is especially tolerant of input voltage variations, this dramatically reduces the number of times that the UPS needs to deploy its own batteries, maximising battery life and improving capacity.

All models in the range feature extensive communications options that make LineUPS-R ideal for computer network, LAN, workstation, server and PoS operators.

Advance Galatrek's PowerShield2 UPS management software permits remote monitoring of the UPS, including battery condition, remaining charge and operational status.

This innovative software is compatible with Windows 95, 98, 2000, Me, NT and Novell operating systems.

LineUPS-R also incorporates Advance Galatrek's innovative cold-start technology.

This enables the UPS to power up straight from its own batteries, without any mains intervention, in the event of a mains failure occurring.

In addition, all models can be supplied with Advance Galatrek's range of PowerRak PRS cabinets, offering users a small footprint tower configuration solution, with easy access for maintenance.

PowerRak allows the LineUPS-R range to be installed according to the user's individual requirements, including as a redundant N+1 configuration, in conjunction with Advance Galatrek's range of PowerSwitches.

Thanks to its built in automatic voltage stabiliser, LineUPS-R can power voltage sensitive loads without any interruption.

Furthermore, with a sinewave supply on the inverter of less than 2% harmonic distortion, LineUPS-R is ideal for protecting loads from potential damage caused by unforeseen variations in the power supply, including spikes and electrical noise.

Because fluctuations such as these can be generated both externally and internally - often by switches, photocopiers and even fluorescent lights - LineUPS-R also incorporates an active filter to minimise component damage and data loss and corruption.
