Morgan's new role provides a firm signal of the company's intention to capitalise on the increasing importance of quality procedures within the manufacturing, production, sales and service processes.

And this move has already brought results with the uprating of the established ISO9001 accredited quality management system to the latest and more stringent 2000 standard for the company's manufacturing and service facility at Advance Park, Wrexham.

This new accolade is the culmination of an assessment programme lasting several months, undertaken by David Morgan and Managing Director - Technical Nathan Briggs, with the participation of key Advance Galatrek staff.

As part of the assessment process, Advance Galatrek personnel analysed manufacturing, production, sales and service processes, writing new procedures to improve on existing practices where appropriate.

The latest ISO9001 revision builds on an earlier version of the international quality standard, dating from 1994.

The new revision adds customer care and continual improvement procedures to a range of criteria that already include manufacturing and dispatch processes.

As a result, the latest version of ISO9001 focuses on standards that measure customer satisfaction with the products and services that they receive from the company.

Levels of customer satisfaction are assessed by feedback received from questionnaires sent by Advance Galatrek following dispatch of the products.

According to Morgan, his new role will allow him to build even further on the already strong reputation for quality that is synonymous with the Advance Galatrek name.
