Kits also incorporate a common 'application' bus allowing interfacing to peripherals and daughter cards.
RSKs are available for Renesas' complete range of 8, 16 and 32bit solutions including the R8C, M16C-Tiny, M32C, H8-SLP and SH controllers.
Renesas also committed to supporting all new mass market microcontrollers with RSKs.
As well as allowing evaluation and fast development, RSKs also provide a useful platform for evaluating the Renesas suite of development tools for coding and debugging, using High-performance Embedded Workshop (HEW), the E8 emulator, and/or Flash Development Toolkit.
RSKs enable the user to generate and run code 'straight out of the box'.
They connect to a host PC via an included USB E8 on chip debugging interface.
The E8 provides a compact, smart debugging environment package that allows the user to perform complete system debug, from MCU operations to electrical characteristics.
