The H8/38004F MCU offers extremely low power consumption together with 32Kbyte single-supply on-chip Flash memory and is the first in the SLP series that is available in a 64-pin quad flatpack.
Such a level of CPU performance has so far not been available to applications with extreme space constraints such as sensors, cameras lenses and small medical applications.
Joachim Hupper, RTE-CID Marketing Manager said "We offer the fastest Flash, with 10ns read access and the biggest embedded Flash module with 3.75Mbyte on our Powertrain devices".
"We also claim the highest reliability and highest temperature operation and now we offer the highest Flash MCU CPU performance in the most compact space".
"This new option offers a breakthrough to customers with ultra-compact applications".
The device has a modern 32bit RISC CPU with 16 general purpose registers, each 32bit wide.
The CPU has a 32x32 multiply-accumulate unit (MAC) for DSP-algorithms.
The SH7083F is available in 256Kbyte Flash/16Kbyte RAM and 512Kbyte Flash/32Kbyte RAM versions.
The peripheral set includes the powerful MTU2 timer unit, a flexible bus state controller (BSC), a direct memory access controller (DMAC) as well as the flexible data transfer controller (DTC).
Connectivity is offered via four serial ports (one with 16byte FIFO), SPI, IIC and up to 65GPIO.
The device also has two fast 10bit ADCs, each with a SampleandHold unit.
