Drive conditioning package includes EMC and PFC
A revolutionary modular system for frequency drives which both lowers costs and makes life easier for panel builders has been launched by REO UK.
A revolutionary modular system for frequency drives which both lowers costs and makes life easier for panel builders has been launched by REO UK.
The new REOUNITY incorporates all ancillary drive equipment into a standardised unit, to provide an entire power-conditioning package, which fulfils all the EMC, power factor correction and energy absorption needs encountered in today's drive engineering applications.
For added convenience, REOUNITY takes the bookcase format used by most drive manufacturers.
For any individual application REOUNITY includes all the necessary EMC filters, braking resistors, sinusoidal filters, motor chokes and dV/dt filters, packaged to provide common dimensions for a particular current or power rating.
The components fit together, side by side, for optimum use of panel space.
Fitting is also made easier through the use of fixing holes with the same centre dimensions and a common terminal style and position to reduce wiring time and materials.
The use of high quality components, such as amorphous cores, throughout the range, reduces losses and weight.
Panel builders will benefit from simplified panel layouts and position changing of components, and the simple addition of extra components in the control panel if needed.
Cable tracing is simplified and the appearance of the finished panel, over separately fitting components, is also enhanced.
At present the range extends from 6A (2kW) to 34A (15kW) although higher power ratings are planned.
