REO enhances its range of braking resistors
REO has added a high-voltage unit to its range of NTT606 braking resistors.
John Symonds of REO (UK) said that the acquisition was ideal in terms of complementary product ranges.
"Nieke's specialist knowledge will be harnessed to develop large input and output reactors for the European drives industry", says Symonds.
"They can build units rated in excess of 1000A - an ability which very few other companies in Europe can match".
According to Symonds, there is a lot of interest from the drives industry for power quality.
"Currently, drive manufacturers are more interested in the safety aspects of harmonics reduction and surge protection".
"However, there is also a good ecological argument for reducing harmonics".
"The more responsible drive manufacturers have already considered this".
"Eventually everyone will have to conform to good practice guides, such as G5/4". Request free introductory details about products from REO (UK) ...
