Review Display Systems has unveiled the latest addition to its single board computer range: the Aaeon PCM-5335.
The high efficiency of regulation (up to 95%) allows the computing system to run much cooler due to reduced electrical losses.
The HE104+ DX provides regulated +3.3, +5, -5, +12 and -12V outputs from a wide input range of 6-40V.
The outputs can be taken independently from screw terminals, but they also directly feed a PC/104+ 32bit bus connector.
This allows the user to stack a PC/104+ CPU card and other PC/104+ peripherals below (or above) the HE104+ DX.
Should the input voltage be exceeded, heavy-duty transient suppressors help to clamp the input voltage to safe levels while maintaining normal power supply operation.
High quality capacitors reduce ripple noise to below 20mV, making the HE104-DX ideal for use wherever EMI emissions must be minimised.
The module size of 3.55 x 3.75 x 0.55in (excluding pass-through pins) is compliant with the PC/104 standard.
A smart-charging version of this card, the HESC104+ is also available, providing power management capability and SMBus Level3 charging for sealed lead acid, NiCd and NiMH battery technologies.
