High brightness panel finds a place in
the sun
A new 12.1in high brightness panel which can be ordered with an antireflection coating for improved sunlight readability.
Sunlight readability has traditionally been a problem for portable instruments and other outdoor LCD applications RDS reckons this is a thing of the past following its introduction of a 12.1in high brightness panel which can be ordered with an antireflection coating for improved sunlight readability
The high brightness (1000cd/m2) of the panel make it ideal for touch screen applications, yet its overall dimensions (280 x 119 x 17.8mm)are very close to those of a standard 12.1in panel.
The panel has an LVDS interface for 6 or 8bit RGB and is backlit using four replaceable CCFL tubes.
