Review Display Systems has unveiled the latest addition to its single board computer range: the Aaeon PCM-5335.
This sealed industrial keyboard integrates a large 50mm industrial grade trackball for accurate and precise cursor control.
Key legends, complete key edges and the trackball contour are backlit.
The backlight is digitally dimmable at eight distinct levels in order to set it to the optimal level for operation in low light conditions.
An automatic night/day sensor controls the on/off setting of the EL backlight and the brightness of the number lock and caps lock LEDs.
The unit incorporates several internal features to increase backlight life.
The Night Vision keyboard is available as a panel mount version or as a desktop unit in a steel enclosure.
The units are PS/2 or USB compatible.
Typical applications include naval navigation control, aeronautics controls, studio or theatre equipment, and any other applications in low light environments where an operator's vision must not be compromised by using a particular device.
