RFID forum is most successful to date
The 6th biannual RFID Networking Forum, which incorporated the RFID Global Partnering Symposium, took place on 24th and 25th May at the Olympia 2 Conference Centre in London.

Latest Verilog standard released
IEEE 1364-2001, the Verilog hardware description language (HDL) standard, also known as Verilog-2001, was approved by the IEEE as a revised standard in March of this year.
Talking of the RFID Global Partnering Symposium, which took place on the first day of the event, Montgomery said "RFID vendors want to move forward, they want give the end-users what they want, this event has bought potential partners from across the world together, helping them to provide a cohesive solution for end users".
Highlights of the two day interactive event included a panel session focused on the return on investment that RFID can provide, with the panel including RFID project leaders from BAA Heathrow, Manchester City Football Club, Essex County Council Libraries, GAP and Marks and Spencer's, and a panel session entitled "The great privacy debate", where thought leaders debated the true privacy implications of the technology.
Not only did the RFID Networking Forum attract unprecedented numbers of delegates for a European event, but also had the support of the RFID industry's key players with sponsors and exhibitors including: Avnet Silica, BEA Systems, BT, Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, D-Tech, Domino, EPC Global and GS1 UK, IBM, Infineon, Intel, Intellident, Microlise, Nokia, Paxar, Philips, Printronix, RFID Centre, Sato, Siemens, Steria, Symbol, Toshiba, Trenstar and UPM Raflatac.
The next RFID Networking Forum will take place on 9th November 2006 at the Olympia 2 Conference Centre London.
The November event will be preceded by the RFID Breakthrough Awards 2006 Gala Dinner, which will be taking place at the Banqueting House, Whitehall on 8th November 2006.
