office
As part of its global expansion plans, Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI) is to open its first American office in May 2000.
As part of its global expansion plans, Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI) is to open its first American office in May Based in Sunnyvale California, radio conformance testing will now be delivered locally to customers in North America and Canada, whilst EMC services will be delivered through RFI's American partners, Elliott Laboratories Inc

RFI becomes a TCB for the FCC
Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) has been appointed as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA.
The expansion follows RFI's strategic business review re-focusing its core activities to concentrate on wireless communications and high technology related products.
Stephen Kirk, RFI's managing director comments, "During the recent review it became clear that RFI needed to be able to support its customers over a wider geographical area.
This development will allow us to greatly improve our support to customers in the Silicon Valley area, whilst at the same time benefiting our European customers with an increased knowledge of the American marketplace.
It is the first of a number of new developments outside the UK which include an office in South East Asia by the end of the year".
Headed by Nick Hooper, regional manager North America and formerly RFI's site testing manager in the UK, RFI's local presence is to be officially launched at the International Microwave Symposium in Boston, Massachusetts, from 13-15 June 2000, Stand no.
3917 Level 1, Hynes Convention Centre.
