Radio Frequency Investigation (RFI) has been appointed as a Telecommunications Certification Body (TCB) by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in the USA.
The association's administration is being managed by Radio Frequency Investigation Ltd (RFI) and has a steering committee of recognised experts in the field.
Access to experts on a regular basis through seminars, question and answer sessions, workshops, newsletters and site visits to test labs and companies with expertise in compliance, are all part of the association's programme of activities.
RFI's Stuart Illsley, who sits on the steering committee comments, "We believe there is a real need for this association.
It is the perfect forum to keep technical directors, quality managers, design, development and test engineers abreast of the latest requirements.
Membership is by company, which opens up attendance to the most relevant personnel.
We are keeping annual membership fees deliberately low at ?100 so that even the smallest of organisations can afford to join.
We signed up six new members during our official launch in May".
